The Shelby Cobra is one of the most radical cars to ever be built. This 65 Cobra has taken that classic body shape and pretty much threw everything else away. Sitting on a custom built 2x4 tube chassis with a Mustang II front suspension this beauty handles like a dream. The body itself was made by hand, laid and rolled fiberglass that has steel reinforcements laid in at all the stress and hinge points. The fitment of the panels is spot on and what you would expect from such a high-end build. The paint is slick and smooth showing off those classic lines beautifully. With huge side-pipes hanging down from the side of the vehicle this is a car that will not go unnoticed. Under the hood is a modern 5.0 HO engine that is sure to get this little car down the road no problem. Just in case that isn’t enough the Vortech Supercharger give an extra boost, literally. The 345 HP on a mild tune is very streetable until you mash the gas then all bets are off as this red rocket is sure to get away from you if you’re not careful. The Borg & Warner T5 transmission shifts out nicely handling the power of this beauty perfectly. Keeping everything cool under that hood is a set of electric fans just like on the original. The rear end is an 8.8 unit just like the one used in Late Model Mustangs. The 2-piece knock off aluminum wheels are a great finishing touch with the front consisting of 245/50/16 tires and the back having a massive 275/50/16 this Cobra is ready to hug the corners or just run flat-out. Whatever the driving situation may be this 65 Cobra can handle it and then some.
