Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this rare & sleek 1992 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1. In the early 90s the ZR-1 would set a new record for the highest 24 hour-5,000 mile land-speed by going over 175 mph. The C4 represented a clean break from the previous generation of Corvette with a completely new chassis and modern, sleeker styling. This beauty is shown in its original deep black paint that is still in very nice condition. The paint still has a high gloss finish and is free from any major scratches, dings, dents, or blemishes. It still has all of its original body panels and no evidence of any body work on the car. The deep black looks great and is a personal favorite Corvette color of the Houston showroom. The doors open & close with ease and the overall condition of the exterior is very nice for an all original 1992 car. The bumpers, light lenses, mirrors, & glass are all in the same great condition. The car sits on its original ZR-1 chrome wheels that are wrapped in some high-performance Nitto tires that have plenty of life left in them. Behind those wheels you find a set of performance drilled & slotted steel disc rotors that help bring all 375HP to stop on a dime. The rear hatch is also in great working shape and the glass is clean. Powering this black bullet down the road is the original LT5 5.7L 350 CiD V8 that produces 375HP & 370 lb-ft of torque out of the gate. The ZR-1 motor is & has been famous since its creation for being an extremely well balanced, reliable, & high performing engine out of the box. 1992 was also the first year the ASR (acceleration slip regulation) or traction control was added to the platform. The engine is completely stock and unmolested from factory, as you can see the engine bay is very clean and all items are in their factory locations. The Lotus designed engine is paired to the 6-speed manual transmission that shifts firm & smooth. Rowing gears in a 375HP corvette is pretty much why muscle cars exist for many people, as this car is an absolute thrill to drive. Did we mention this car has only 56k miles on it?? Looking at the interior you will find a beautiful black leather & cloth set up that is all factory. The seats are comfortable and free from any tears or rips. The carpet, door panels, & dash are in fantastic condition and show very well. We love the black on black color combination. The targa top comes off with ease and with it removed the car still feels rigid and always in control. All of the options on the car work as they should, and the car has all the signs of being a nice low mileage car that has been well cared for over the years. The car is just as clean on the under side as the top side. No rust to be found on the car and it is a really stunning car to drive & just admire at your next car meet.
