VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1941 Buick Super for sale in Englewood, Colorado

All original and numbers matching! This superb example of a 1941 Super 8 will grab the attention of anyone who knows these cars well and has an extraordinary story to back it. The story goes back in 1941 when this car was purchased new by a young gentleman from the Buick dealership and was put in storage in 1942 just before shipping off to war. Unfortunately, this young man made the ultimate sacrifice and would never truly get to enjoy this beautiful car. Left in storage for many years on blocks so the suspension and tires were not under the weight of the car, the battery was taken out to prevent corrosion, the chrome and stainless trim was coated with bees wax to preserve the metal, the underside was lightly coated in machine oil, and was then covered in a breathable cotton cover. The car had sat so long the cotton threads had deteriorated to dust, but all the prep work did the trick. No rust issues were found on the car and just need a good clean up to make it look like new. The radiator and gas can were cleaned up, all rubber hoses were replaced, and the carburetor was rebuilt to get back to running condition. This Buick reads 15,369 on the odometer currently and looks spectacular. The Lancaster Gray lays nicely upon the swooping fenders and body lines and is equipped with the original glass. As you get behind the wheel and fire it up with the simple press of the throttle, the straight 8 comes to life and purrs smoothly. The interior is an upgraded Roadmaster interior and still has the original tube-style radio in working condition. Drop the three-on-the-tree down into gear and set off! The ride is smooth and floats down the road with ease. It is truly a unique experience to drive and will take you back to a different era. This great piece of American history is in need of a new home and is ready to be enjoyed. This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom.
