VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1984 Ferrari 512 BBi for sale in Sterling, Virginia

Ferrari of Washington is proud to offer a beautiful 1984 512 BBi. The Ferrari 512 BB followed the 365 GTB/4 Berlinetta Boxer in 1976 after the original BB. The 512 was similar in shape, using the BBs mid-mounted flat-12 engine, with a displacement increased from 4.4L to 5.0L. It similarly carried the same wedge-shaped Pininfarina body, only the 512 also added a front spoiler and NACA ducts just ahead of the rear wheels. Body proportions were slightly larger, and the rear track was widened to aid handling. A dry sump was also a new addition, which helped lower the cars center of gravity. The low profile of the vehicle, longitudinally mounted, and horizontally opposed engine made it quick, with a top speed of 188 mph. The 512 produced more torque and had a longer stroke, which provided improved acceleration and drivability. At the time, none were officially imported to the U.S. Only 1,007 512BBi models were produced worldwide, making it one of the lowest production modern era 12 cylinder Ferraris, and one of the most undervalued Italian Supercars of the Enzo Ferrari era.On our showroom today, we are excited to offer the last production year of the Boxers. Our 1984 512 BBi Berlinetta Boxer was originally imported by longtime Ferrari maven Ron Spangler. This beautiful piece of Ferrari history was Ferrari Classiche Certified just 15,000 kilometers from new. Our low mileage 512BBi is finished in its original color scheme of Rosso Corsa and Crema leather interior. The luxurious carpets embossed with the Ferrari Prancing Horse line the foot-well and remain in fantastic condition, as does the black top roll. It also includes the original Pioneer radio and equ
