VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1927 Ford Model T for sale in O'Fallon, Illinois

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a 1927 Ford Model T. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a vehicle that has had the same owner for the last 63 years. This Model T was purchased from its original owner in 1953 for $60 and used as a first car. That means you could be the 3rd owner of this 1927 Model T. The car was restored about 6 years ago with an engine rebuild and new tires. The vehicle is a 2 door sedan with seating for 4 comfortably. The T is finished in Henry Fords favorite color black and sits on wooden wheels with new Firestone tires. The original interior features gray cloth upholstery with bucket seats in the front and a bench for the back seat. All four side windows roll down and the front windscreen tilts open to allow for airflow. Not many people have had the opportunity to ride in a Model T but it sure is a lot of fun. Needless to say these vehicles are a large part of American automotive history. Henry Ford revolutionized the industry with the production of these cars. The use of an assembly line and standardized parts allow the Model T to be the first mass produced vehicle. The Model T took the place of a horse drawn carriage and allowed for people to travel much longer distances. Before cars it wouldnt be out of the ordinary for someone to stay within the same 10 mile radius for their entire lives. This allowed people to travel for work or for pleasure and gave car owners a great sense of freedom. It may be this freedom that keeps the car hobby alive to this day. You can see this beautiful 1927 Ford Model T in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
