For sale in our Chicago showroom is this tastefully customized 2004 Pontiac GTO. 2004 marked the return of an icon as the GTO made its way into Pontiac showrooms around the nation. The modern GTO was based hugely on the Holden Monaro of the Australian market. This brought many features that the original GTO wasnâ??t around to experience such as independent rear suspension 6-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission and the now legendary LS1 engine. The example you see here today started out as a 6-speed manual LS1 making a respectable 350 horsepower making this one quick ride. The seller decided that it just wasnâ??t quick enough and opted to have a Borla exhaust system installed to help the engine exhale and a Magnuson supercharger to stuff more air into the aluminum power plant. The exterior has had many subtle changes that the average onlooker wonâ??t notice right away but will slowly notice how the license plate surround fits more than factory the GTO badges seem to fit more level and the rear spoiler seems just slightly more aggressive. The wheels pop in the sunlight and glimmer at night. The Phantom Black Metallic gives way to the red leather interior that still appears showroom new. Turn the key and the second coming of a legend roars to life letting you know that it means business just as much now as it did 40 years ago.
