This 1987 YJ Jeep is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. Rock crawling is a motorsport that has really caught on in the past decade. Jeeps are the weapon of choice in the sport well at least thatâ??s what they begin with. In order to be competitive the only thing left Jeep will be the serial number. This 87 is a great example of what it takes to be competitive. The body consists of an Aqua Aluminum tub surrounded by a protective cage. The custom racing hood looks great and weighs next to nothing. The heart of the beast is a LT1 with the complete EFI set up in tact making this one of the most dependable crawlers out there. The Ron Davis 4 core radiator ensures overheating wont be a problem but if you do see the temp spike the dual fans will bring it down quick. A built TH350 transmission keeps the shifts nice and crisp. The custom built drive shafts feed power from the Atlas transfer case. The Dana 60 upfront as well as the 14 bolt outback has 5.13 gears bringing the word crawling to a whole new meaning. The huge 40 Walker Evans tires can be ran with almost no air thanks to the Evans bead locks. Once you get out of that situation the onboard compressor and tank let you refill them for the next part of the trail. The PSC hydraulic steering makes turning this rig an absolute pleasure. With a 4 link front and rear chances are if you cant make it over it you donâ??t need to be there. The FOX coilovers just like everything else are the best in the business. Naturally you want to be safe when youre out there throwing this around. The custom seats with suspension seat belts keep you planted while the tig welded point cage is sure stay intact in case of a roll. If you use this thing as intended you are bound to get stuck some even say thatâ??s half the fun. The 8274 Warn winch spooled with a fully synthetic rope will pull this monster out of just about anything and the High Lift Jack is there if you have to change a flat but they can come in handy if you have to get creative. If you got time and 60 to 7- grand you can always build one like this or just buy this one and be in Moab with in the week with a rig that will take you pretty much anywhere.
