Up for sale in the Houston showroom is one gorgeous muscle car The 1966 Chevrolet El Camino. Chevrolet introduced the El Camino first in 1959 as a result of a suggestion from automotive great Harley Earl. The Coupe Utility was based off of the Brookwood two door station wagon and offered a full sized pickup bed in a highly styled low slung sedan body. The vehicle was an immediate success outselling its Ford competitor the Ranchero nearly 2 to 1. The second generation starting in 64 based the vehicle off of the Chevelle chassis but initially did not offer the high horsepower Chevelle power plants. In 65 a slight facelift was introduced as well as the availability of more engines including a hot 350 HP 327 CI V8. This particular 66 model sports a 355 CI V8 backed by an Turbo 350 3 speed automatic automatic transmission. Equipment includes: Power brakes am/fm/cd player vinyl seats seat belts and aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in performance radial tires. The vehicle is finished in an unmistakable coat of white which screams classic Chevy. Set it on a set of staggered 17� wheels and this is one monster little truck. The interior features clean with black vinyl upholstery a bench seat floor shifter subwoofers and seat belts. This vehicle would be at home at a local car cruise or car show.
