For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is a vintage 1970 MG B GT. The MGB GT is a two-door hardtop version of its sister car the MG B roadster. The MG B line was built by MG to be the successor of their four-cylinder sports car line produced between the years of 1962-1980. This 1970 MG B GT is still sporting a lot of its original-style equipment to include the peppy little 1798cc 1.8 liter B-Series I4 4 cylinder engine that is linked to a 4 speed manual transmission. The original air cleaner is with the car and included with the sale. This little sporty coupe has all the right curves in all the right places with one thing the roadsters simply dont have more room! The exterior color of this 70 MG B GT for sale is a nice shade of orange. With aftermarket wheels that allow the front disc brakes to peek out from beneath them this MG has that sporty look that all European classic car enthusiasts strive for. This 1970 model was the only year for the rear split bumper and is certainly considered to be a more collectible year than the later GTs. The exterior is highly complimented by the black vinyl interior and vintage-styled dash and gauge cluster. By making better use of space the MGB line was able to offer more passenger and luggage accommodation than the earlier MGA while 3 inches shorter overall. The suspension was also softer giving a smoother ride and the larger engine gave a slightly higher top speed.
