For sale in our DFW showroom is what could arguably be the perfect restomod 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Hard Top. First you start out with a near perfect restoration. Restored with the correct interior and exterior color combinations wheels and trim it has an all original look but then there are some definite subtle surprises. First you may or may not notice that it sits slightly lower than original. This was accomplished with two inch lowering spindles in the front. That way ride and alignment are not affected. The rear was lowered with two inch lowering blocks for the same reason. With that the stance is pretty much perfect. Getting into the car youâ??ll notice the factory chrome trim sparkling and the paint shining. Then you see the radio hmmmm it looks slightly different. It is a digital radio with auxiliary inputs. Below that youâ??ll notice the under dash AC unit and to the left you see three additional gauges just to make sure everything is operating as it should. Start the car and there will be another surprise. A bit a rumble that doesnâ??t sound stock. So you pop the hood. You have uncovered something else a gorgeous engine bay that is filled with a mildly built Chevrolet 350 CID V8. Youâ??ll also notice the modern power brake booster which will lead you to find the four wheel disc brake setup. Get driving and youâ??ll find that the transmission is fitted with four forward gears which makes longer cruises a breeze.
