For sale in our Orlando showroom is a 1966 Ford Mustang. In 1966 Ford was looking for way to cut development cost to reach a suggested selling of 2368 dollars. So the mustang was based on components that were familiar and simple due to the fact that they were already in production for other Ford models. Almost all of the interior chassis suspension and drivetrain pieces were taken from those used on the Ford Falcon and Fairlane. This use of sharing pieces also shortened the learning curve for the assembly and repair workers while at the same time allowing dealers to pick up the Mustang without also having to spend massive amounts of money on spare parts to support the new car line. With this simple change consumers were able to achieve the fun durable and powerful mustang we know today. Bathed in a custom black cherry paint job from its previous owner this stang is ready to turn heads at the next cruise night. Under the hood sits a stout 302CID V8 mated to a 4 speed transmission. A/C was added as well as a larger fan to aid in the added heat generated from the A/c. The electrical was recently redone and was given an alternator conversion.
