Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a very nicely built 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle resto mod. This car has undergone an extensive frame off restoration including blasting the body to bare metal and straightening every panel. The frame was blasted and powder coated for durability and underside presentability. The body has a fresh coat of gloss black which has been professionally laid and shows beautifully. Black is a tough color to paint but this one does not disappoint. The car sits on all new Hotchkis suspension which features tubular A arms and front and rear sway bars. The Chevelle has power disc brakes in all four corners which sit nicely inside chrome 5 spoke American Racing wheels. Powering this beast is a Roller 350 CID V8 which will really put you back in your seat. It has an Edlebrock intake and full fuel injection. It is nicely dressed up with plenty of chrome as well as billet accessory system. It breathes through exhaust headers and true dual exhaust which sounds great. Backing the V8 is a 5 speed manual TKO 500 transmission. It has a 9 rear end an 4.11 final drive ratio. This gives plenty of pep to pull away from a stoplight but the 5 speed keeps the revs down on the highway. The car has a beautifully done custom interior which includes dual textured upholstery and custom SS embroidery on each of the 4 bucket seats. It has a custom center console as well to house the 5 speed manual shifter. The Chevelle is equipped with a custom stereo and Vintage Air Conditioning to keep the driver comfortable. If youre looking for a classic Chevelle with a more modern drive train as well as added modern comforts this is the car. This car would do great on the power tour or other trips.
