For sale in our Chicago showroom is one very special 1939 Plymouth 2-Door Sedan Delivery . This unique Mopar started life as a sedan and has been re-created to look like a Sedan Delivery on the outside with seating for 4 on the inside. The maroon metallic paint on this beauty is accented nicely with a vintage styled Mopar parts sign on both sides. One can picture a vehicle like this making its rounds to the local Chrysler dealerships of the time to deliver replacement parts for all of the Chrysler cars on the road. On the inside you will see that the 2-tone upholstery looks very nice and adds a modern touch of comfort. The dash was kept original and proudly displays the Plymouth ship as does the original glass teardrop taillights. The shifter has a very nice white cue-ball with flames for that extra cool touch. The General Motors steering column is topped off with a Demo wood steering wheel. Pop open that glove box door to reveal a modern Alpine CD player for those cruising tunes. The exterior styling is super cool and has a lattice-styled hood vent and a fully operable cowl vent. Power steering and power brakes make driving this car a breeze and the vintage-styled Stewart Warner gauges allow you to keep an eye on all operating systems. For safety the original style bias ply tires were replaced with radial tires. Turn signals and a third brake light were installed along with seat belts. The exterior of this car retains all of the original trim as well as the super cool sail ship hood ornament and for added fun a crank was added to the front that works on a ratchet mechanism. Power for this car is created through a 350 Cubic Inch V8 and mated with a 700 R4 transmission. This powertrain is famous for reliability and mechanical parts are readily available at many parts stores.
