For sale is a 1953 MG TD located in our Indianapolis showroom. Straight out of 1953 this time capsule has all the features you would expect from an MG. From the independent suspension to the rack and pinion steering this car is ready to be driven around town and enjoyed. The known history of this car dates back to April of 1958 when this car was given as a gift for their sons 16th birthday. The car had been originally painted red but the parents had it painted white as they didnt want their son driving a fast red sports car. After the son drove the car for a few years it had sat at the family lake house for around 40 years until the parents passed away in 2002. The car was then given to a family member and put back on the road. This 1953 MG TD is powered by its original XPAG 1250cc Inline 4 cylinder engine and is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. Inside the car it is sporting its original wood grain dashboard very reminiscent of European cars of this era with red vinyl interior and newer red carpeting. Recent work performed on this MG TD include: New Distributor Cap and Rotor New Spark Plugs and Wires New Master Cylinder New Wheel Cylinders and Brake Shoes and a New Valve Cover Gasket. This little MG would be a fantastic Sunday driver or car that you can take to cruise-ins around town.
