VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1967 Chevrolet Camaro for sale in Houston, Texas

Up for sale in the Houston showroom is one awesome recreation to an old pony car the 1967 Chevrolet Camaro. The Chevrolet Camaro is an automobile manufactured by Chevrolet classified as a pony car and some versions also as a muscle car. It went on sale on September 29 1966 for the 1967 model year and was designed as a competing model to the Ford Mustang. The car shared its platform and major components with the Pontiac Firebird also introduced in 1967. The first-generation Camaro debuted in the 1967 model year up to 1969 on a new rear-wheel drive GM F-body platform and was available as a two-door coupe or convertible with 2+2 seating and a choice of 230ci V6 250ci 302ci 307ci 327ci 350ci 396ci 427ci V8 powerplants. Concerned with the runaway success of the Ford Mustang Chevrolet executives realized that their compact sporty car the Corvair would not be able to generate the sales volume of the Mustang due to its rear-engine design as well as declining sales partly due to the negative publicity from Ralph Naders book Unsafe at Any Speed. The builder of this car had a different idea for the power train. A modern 5.7L fuel injected all aluminum engine was installed. The engine deemed the LS1 is an amazing choice of power plant for this Camaro for sale. The engine has been tuned along with the installation of the long tube headers and full length exhaust and a cold air intake. Backing the infamous engine is its longtime partner in crime the 4L60E 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission. Shifting the gears through the B&M quick silver shifter and putting the power to the ground is exhilarating in this amazing machine. Lathered in Olympic gold and stuffed with traditional black and white vinyl seats this is the traditional styling of the first year Camaro with the technology of the new school muscle cars. Resto-Mod is the term and this is one is one of the best. Options on this LS powered 1967 Chevrolet Camaro include: Ac power steering power brakes vinyl seats am/fm radio seat belts and rally Crager SS wheels wrapped in radial tires.
